"I am the vine and you, the branches," Jesus declared (John 15:5). So we are! We at Central Baptist Church are connected to each other through our faith in Jesus Christ and by a shared passion for learning how to be faithful members in the body of Christ and faithful participants in God's work in the world. We can learn from Jesus' example, from Christ in our midst, from the Spirit active in the world, and from sharing our experiences of God with one another.

In the Learning Community classes, CBC offers opportunities for people to explore their relationship with God, to grow in their understanding of the scriptures, to experience in community the invitation to gain self-understanding, and to respond to God's call to join in the work of peace and justice.

Special forums and workshops provide opportunities for spiritual formation and growth in spiritual practice. Educational events are offered that foster understanding of and promote advocacy for environmental issues, interfaith dialogue, multi-cultural and inter-racial relations and human rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons.
