Ever dreamed of being part of a church staff that is thoughtful about its worship, passionate about social justice and committed to one another in its communal life? Here’s your opportunity! A liberal, Welcoming and Affirming congregation in the western Philadelphia suburbs seeks a qualified person or persons to be part of our music staff in the roles of Organist, Keyboardist, Choir Director, and Music Program Coordinator. Qualified candidates may apply for any one or combination of the four roles. In your cover letter, please indicate the role(s) for which you wish to be considered. Each position averages 6 hours or less per week.

Who are we? Central Baptist Church believes in the radical inclusiveness of God! We come together from all walks of life as persons whose ages span 0-95. We come from various religious and cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities, racial and ethnic identities, and have lived in numerous countries all over the globe. Our once-weekly worship utilizes a wide range of musical and artistic expression—including traditional, contemporary, sacred, and secular music—reflecting who we believe God to be and God’s love of diversity. We seek an experience of music in worship that prepares and nurtures us to be a transforming presence for God’s compassion and justice in the world.

What qualities are we looking for in our candidate(s)? Persons who:
