Friends,

Thank you for the privilege of being invited into your community as the Director of Pastoral MusicOver these past weeks of discussions I have learned so much about your Community and the unique ways through which you choose to live out the Call to Discipleship.  I am honored to now be a part of that Mission.

Up until this past year, I served as a campus minister at Villanova University and the music director of St. Thomas of Villanova Church.  Serving as a Roman Catholic musician since my college days, I built up a strong repertoire of sacred and secular music in a myriad of styles and was blessed with working with talented musicians young and old.  I have understood this music making as an integral part of the pastoral life of the community.  Through the years I have had numerous opportunities to create moments of prayer and music in ecumenical and interfaith contexts and, having had the opportunity to work with the extremely talented musicians of CBC a few weeks ago, I am looking forward to sharing what I have to offer, and learning to express God’s unique call in new and exciting ways.

May our song together give comfort and challenge, nurture and nourishment, and at all times, with the psalmist, may we together make ‘…a joyful noise to the Lord… serve with gladness, and come before God’s presence with singing!’
