The Advent Wreath was commissioned by a CBC family to provide an artwork appropriate for use during the Christmas season.  It has  a prophetic theme, using carved images representing Micah, Isaiah, Elizabeth and John the Baptist, all of whom foretold of the Coming of the Christ

“Out of you will come one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”

“The Lord will give you a sign: a young woman will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel ['God with us']”

“And it came to pass, that when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the infant leaped in her womb.  And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost and she cried out with a loud voice:

‘Blessed are thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb’."

“As it is written in the prophets: The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make His paths straight’.”
