The Pulpit

The Pulpit was commissioned in 1987 by the Church Cabinet.

It is constructed of ash and walnut woods, in a shape suggesting the prow of a ship.  Its dark structural elements reflect the trusswork and beams of the church's sanctuary ceiling.

A carving of a dove on its front represents the Holy Spirit.

Side panel carvings suggest wavelets created by movement through water.
